D-Link’s 10G SFP+ Module series are hot-swappable SFP+ transceivers that plug into SFP+ slots on switches and support 10G Ethernet. The D-Link 10GBASE SFP+ Module Series transceivers offer customers a wide variety of 10G Ethernet connectivity options for data centers, enterprise wiring closets, and service provider transport applications.Enhanced Small Form-factor Pluggable FormatThe transceivers use the Enhanced Small Formfactor Pluggable format (SFP+). The SFP+ form factor is smaller than other form factors such as Xenpak, X2, and 10G XFP, ensuring lower costs, lower power disruption, and higher port density. They provide the necessary signal amplification for data to be transmitted to the network cable from the port, and vice versa, for the port to receive data from the network cable. Hot PluggableAll D-Link transceivers are hot-pluggable. You can connect a transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any problems. This permits modules to be added or removed without interrupting the network. 10G Ethernet speedsThe transceivers all support 10G Ethernet, which results in very fast data transmissions of up to 10 Gbit/s. This is 10 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet and enables the switch to handle faster and higher data transmissions, making it very suitable for business needs.
The combination of D-Link’s fully managed switch line and DPS Series of Redundant Power Supplies enables today’s business networks with unmatched flexibility, performance, scalability, and availability. When paired with a supported D-Link switch, the DPS-700 provides uninterrupted fail-over in the unlikely event of a mechanical power supply failure. Additionally, the DPS-700 supports a 1+1 power budget allowing you to double the PoE budget on supported switches.
D-Link’s new line of Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs) and Small Form-Factor Pluggables (SFPs) transceivers represent an industry leading combination of performance and affordability. D-Link’s new Gigabit transceivers are available in two form-factors: standard (GBIC) or (SFP)/mini-GBIC.The DEM-311GT is a high performance 850nm multimode SFP/mini-GBIC transceiver. Supporting full duplex, Gigabit speeds on multimode fiber for distances of up to 220m/550m on 62.5µm/50µm fiber respectively. The unit features a metal housing to reduce EMI and to increase durability. The DEM-311GT is hot pluggable and is backed by a standard 2-year product warranty and free technical support.
Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for data centers, enterprise wiring closets, and service provider transport applicationsThe D-Link DGS-712 1000Base-T Copper SFP Transceiver Module is a hot-swappable SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceiver that plugs into standard SFP slots on switches and supports Gigabit Ethernet. The DGS-712 offers a wide variety of Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data centers, enterprise wiring closets, and service provider transport applications. The DGS-712 is an external transceiver designed for insertion into SFP slots of network devices for transmission and reception of data signals from fiber ports. These transceivers provide Gigabit operation and physical compactness to deliver the speed, reliable data transfer, and deployment flexibility that today’s networks require.
The DPS-500A redundant power supply (RPS) are designed to conform to the wattage requirements of D-Link’s Ethernet and Gigabit switches. It is an external RPS unit enclosed in solid metal cases with sockets to connect to an AC power sources on one end and to connect to a switch’s internal power supply on the other end. It provides a low-cost, simple solution to the problem of an inadvertent failure of the internal power-supply of an Ethernet switch, which can result in the shutdown of that switch, the devices attached to its ports or an entire network. Supporting full output power for the switch, these redundant power supplies can maximise the power availability of the switching device.Redundant Power BackupEach D-Link RPS is equipped with an integrated detection circuit that continuously monitors the switch’s internal power supply. In the event of a power interruption, the redundant power supply is immediately triggered so that the LAN switch and its connected devices can continue providing service. This results in a more reliable network infrastructure and protects the network from going down due to failure of a single network device power supply. Easy and Flexible DeploymentDeployment of a DPS series device does not require any change in the configuration of the LAN switch. Each RPS is equipped with a universal internal power supply and can be connected to any AC power source from 90 V AC to 264 V AC, 47 Hz to 63 Hz through a standard AC power cable. Modular Redundant Power SuppliesThe DPS-500A is a modular redundant power supply which can be installed as independent power supply units or placed inside a DPS-800 Rack-mount chassis. The chassis are designed for mounting in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Multiple power supplies can be placed inside a chassis, from which they can connect to the switches mounted in the same rack.Rack-Mount ChassisThe DPS-800 chassis can accommodate up to two DPS-200A modules to an equipment rack. Using a chassis, users can save space while allowing for clean cabling. All redundant power supply units installed in the chassis connect directly to their power sources, and they are hot-swappable.
The 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver module delivers the flexibility and port density well known to the SFP+ form-factor, utilising Cat 6a UTP structured cabling for network connectivity. It is a power-optimised solution for lengths up to 30m, engineered to deliver a minimum power saving of at least 0.5W per port compared to an equivalent embedded 10GBASE-T RJ45 for the same length (Cat 6a, up to 30m). These power savings can add-up in ToR, mid-row and end-of-row switch connectivity. It’s the alternative compared with standard SFP+ SR/LR fibre optics, which uses standard-based technology with the familiar RJ45 connector and provides backward compatibility with legacy networks.
The DEM-310GT is a high performance 1310nm single mode SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver. Supporting full duplex, Gigabit speeds on single mode fiber for distances of up to 10km on 9µm respectively. The unit features a metal housing to reduce EMI and to increase durability. The DEM-310GT is hot pluggable and is backed by a standard 2-year product warranty and free technical support.
