The RAM camera base contains a 1.5" rubber ball that is connected to a 2.5" diameter round base. Also, included is a 3/8"-16 threaded steel stud, centered, the round base provides support and stability for cameras that rest on top of it. The RAM-VP-SW1-12 consists of a 12" upper male Tele-Pole, double swing arm and 2.5" round base that contains the universal AMPs hole pattern. The Tele-Pole can be easily adjusted by turning the knob at the top of the post. Once the knob has been tightened, the Tele-Pole becomes a rigid support for connecting devices or cradles.
